Reaper Piano Roll: C Major Scale – Guitar as reference(C3-C4)

The following illustrations have been created to show guitarists how to identify notes in regards the notes on a guitar neck – using the C Major scale we can create ourselves a solid reference point.

Below is how the piano roll equates to the guitar notes of C Major scale.

The scale C3 -> C4

Once we are comfortable with this we can transpose notes higher and lower to acheive notes further up the neck.

Reaper:Piano Roll Notes - C Major Scale The scales below are different positions of the above scale and as such the notes relate the same way. For example: The 8th fret on the Bottom E string is Middle C the same fretting the 3rd fret on the A string.
