Found this free to download VST Plugin from iZotope – an authentic lo-fi Vinyl Effect simulator.
So ok it’s probably a one off effect for most people but I’m guessing it’s a giggle to use.
This free plugin is according to iZotopes site,

You can control the amount of turntable motor rumble and noise, Internally generated electrical noise, such as 60 Hz grounding hum, how worn out the record is, the amount of dust on the record, number and depth of scratches, amount of warping and the warp shape for the record and more…
